Accommodation
Madrid is a large and vibrant city with a wide range of hotels and other accommodation options suitable for all budgets. However, as a popular tourist destination—especially in early September—we strongly recommend booking your stay as early as possible to ensure availability in a convenient location.
Recommended Areas
- Ciudad Universitaria / Moncloa: For easy access to the CLEF 2025 sessions, we recommend staying in or around the Moncloa area. This district is close to the UNED campus where the conference will take place and is well-connected by metro and bus. It offers a quieter atmosphere while still being close to the academic and cultural heart of Madrid.
- City Center (Callao / Gran Vía): If you prefer to stay in the lively city center, consider areas like Callao, Gran Vía, or Plaza de España. These neighborhoods are full of restaurants, shops, and entertainment options, and are well connected to Moncloa via Metro Line 3 or a direct bus from Callao. They are also conveniently located near the venues for CLEF 2025’s social events.
Booking Tips
- Use platforms like Booking.com, Expedia, or Airbnb to compare prices and availability.
- Consider proximity to Metro Line 3 or bus lines to Moncloa for easy daily commuting.
