The venue is known for its Mediterranean and Swedish-inspired cuisine, and its rooftop bar is one of the most iconic in the city. Madrid Tour – “Madrid de los Austrias” (Wednesday, 10 September)This is a walking tour, ideal for those visiting Madrid for the first time or anyone who wants to rediscover its most iconic spots. We will explore the historic center of Madrid, largely built during the reign of the Habsburg dynasty, known in Spain as the House of Austria — a royal family that ruled from the 16th to the 18th century. During this period, Madrid became the capital of a vast empire on which the sun never set. Throughout the tour, we will learn — in a dynamic and entertaining way — about the history, legends, and anecdotes behind some of Madrid’s most emblematic landmarks, such as: the Royal Palace (the origin of Madrid), Almudena Cathedral, Calle Mayor, Plaza de la Villa, Calle del Codo (where sword duels once took place), Calle de la Pasa, Puerta Cerrada, Cava de San Miguel, Arco de Cuchilleros, San Miguel Market, Plaza Mayor, Calle de la Sal, Calle de Postas, and the famous Puerta del Sol.
