CLEF 2025 – Venue

The CLEF 2025 conference will be hosted by the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), Spain's largest university and a pioneer in distance and blended learning. Established in 1972, UNED has been at the forefront of making higher education accessible to a diverse student body, regardless of geographical, professional, or personal constraints. As UNED has multiple campuses and buildings throughout Madrid, it is important to note that CLEF 2025 will take place specifically at the Faculty of Education, located in Madrid's Ciudad Universitaria area. Additionally, some parallel sessions will be held at the nearby Faculty of Psychology, situated just a short walk from the Faculty of Education. This proximity facilitates easy movement between sessions.

Both venues are accessible via public transportation and are situated in a vibrant academic environment, surrounded by other major universities and research institutions. Madrid's extensive public transport network, including metro and bus lines, ensures convenient connectivity from various parts of the city.

Walking Route Between Venues

The Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Psychology are located just 3 minutes apart on foot. Walking between the two buildings is straightforward and recommended for attendees moving between parallel sessions.

Getting There – UNED Faculty of Education

The UNED Faculty of Education is located in the Ciudad Universitaria area, northwest of central Madrid.

From Moncloa

If you're staying near Moncloa, reaching the UNED campus is straightforward. From the Moncloa Interchange (Intercambiador de Moncloa), go to the upper-level bus terminal and take one of the following buses towards Ciudad Universitaria:

  • Lines 133, 82, or G

Get off at, depending on the bus:

  • Facultad de Veterinaria: just a 1-minute walk to the Faculty of Education via a short uphill path.

    • Example route using Bus 133:

  • Paraninfo - Informática: about a 10-minute walk from the faculty.

From Central Madrid

If you're staying in the city centre (e.g. Gran Vía or Sol):

  • Bus lines 133 and 83 provide a direct connection from Callao and Moncloa to Facultad de Veterinaria.
  • Alternatively, take the Metro:
    • Line 3: to Moncloa
    • Line 6: to Ciudad Universitaria

Note: Metro Line 6 will be under maintenance between Moncloa and Méndez Álvaro starting 31 May. Both Moncloa and Méndez Álvaro stations will remain operational as terminal stations on the open section. To minimise disruption, the regional government has introduced a free replacement bus service operated by EMT Madrid, running every 3 to 5 minutes along the affected section.
